Your attention is required at all times

iQ.Pilot is a driver assistance system, not a self driving system. You must keep your eyes on the road, your hands ready on the wheel, and be prepared to take over instantly. You are always responsible for the safe operation of your car.

Before you change a setting

• Some settings can only be changed while parked. Anything that affects how the car steers or accelerates is locked while you are driving. If a control looks greyed out, put the car in park.
• A few settings restart iQ.Pilot. Recording and camera options restart the system when toggled with the car on. That is normal.
• Changes take effect on your next drive. Some vehicle and longitudinal options only apply once the car goes offroad and back onroad.

Sensible defaults

If you are new, leave the defaults alone until you have driven with iQ.Pilot for a while. The defaults are chosen to be safe and comfortable. When you do start changing things, change one setting at a time so you can feel the difference.

Experimental features

Some options are marked beta or experimental. They can behave unpredictably and are still being improved. Try them only when you can give the car your full attention, and expect the occasional mistake.
