Introduction
iQ.Pilot is a driver assistance system for your car. It keeps you centered in your lane and manages your speed and following distance, using the cameras and the driving model running on your comma device. It is a partner that reduces the workload of driving, not a self driving system. You stay in charge of the car at all times.
This documentation covers the settings you see on the device itself: the screens you reach by tapping the gear on the home screen. It does not cover the Konn3kt web and mobile app, which is documented separately.
What iQ.Pilot does
Section titled “What iQ.Pilot does”- Lane keeping (lateral control). Steers to keep the car centered in its lane and follows the road through curves.
- Adaptive cruise (longitudinal control). Manages the gas and brakes to hold a set speed and keep a safe gap to the car ahead. Depending on the mode you pick, the driving model can also slow for curves and stop for red lights and stop signs.
- Driver monitoring. Uses the interior camera to check that you are paying attention, and warns you if you are not.
- Recording. Saves your drives so you can review them in Konn3kt and so the models keep improving.
How the docs are organized
Section titled “How the docs are organized”The settings are split into chapters that mirror the menus on the device. Each control lists which screen it appears on, its options, and a screenshot from both interfaces.
